The performance of Coniston Clouds (IRE), which started favourite and finished ninth of twelve runners beaten 28½ lengths, was considered.
Nicky Richards could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.

An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the bending entering the home straight involving You Name Him (GB), unplaced, ridden by Brian Hughes; Deluxe Range (IRE), placed third, ridden by Ryan Mania; On We Go (IRE), which was pulled up, ridden by Sean Quinlan and Follow Your Arrow (FR), unplaced, ridden by Jonathan Bewley.
The interference was found to be accidental and caused by Deluxe Range (IRE) lugging left-handed rounding the bend resulting in You Name Him (GB) stumbling when short of room on rail and in doing so causing the rider of On We Go (IRE) to take back.
After jumping the fourth last hurdle LES’S LEGACY, placed fourth, clipped the heels of Warriors Story (GB), placed second.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
