The winner Up Helly Aa King (GB) did not enter the winners enclosure due to the gelding being dismounted on the course as the rider’s saddle had badly slipped.
The winner Up Helly Aa King (GB) appeared to show improved form compared to its previous run on the 16 March 2024 at Newcastle where the gelding finished fourth of five runners beaten 34 lengths.
It was noted that Nick Alexander could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
