The Veterinary Officer reported that upon inspection Classy Clarets (IRE) was grey and not bay as published in the racecard.
Phoenix Beach (IRE), drawn 3, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
For some distance approaching and passing the 4 furlong marker, a free running Stone Of Destiny (GB), unplaced, was very awkwardly placed close to the heels of a hard-pulling Blue Force (IRE), placed second, which was gradually moving left-handed towards the rail, whilst its rider was experiencing difficulty restraining his mount and ultimately caused Stone Of Destiny (GB) to be checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Blue Force (IRE).
Rounding the first bend, Let's Go Hugo (IRE), unplaced, was hanging markedly right-handed before being corrected by its rider and then shifted left-handed causing Rogue De Vega (GB), unplaced, to be steadied when short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Oisin McSweeney, reported that Classy Clarets (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away and Alex Jary reported that Rogue De Vega (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
