An enquiry was held to consider interference turning into the home straight involving Jailbreak (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Grace McEntee and Fox Shinji (GB), placed fifth, ridden by David Probert.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, McEntee was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
McEntee was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift left towards the rail, causing Probert to take a precautionary check on Fox Shinji (GB).
Following the race, David Probert reported that Fox Shinji (GB), placed fifth, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
