The Raceday Stewards held an enquiry prior to race seven, pursuant to Rule 87, to consider a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer, Emma Costello who reported that Selective Power, trained by Thomas Coyle, was presented for identification with residue on its lips. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Thomas Coyle stated that he had administered an electrolyte with the feed today at twelve o'clock. He further added that his charge is very hard on himself and its just routine to help the horse. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards under the provisions of Rule 87(ii)(d) ordered the withdrawal of Selective Power and ordered a full regulatory sample to be taken
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Party Moon (GER), trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
C.D. Maxwell, rider of Party Moon (GER), trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
