An enquiry was held to consider 2 incidents of interference from 1 ½ furlongs out.
The first incident involved Simiyann (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Hollie Doyle, and Lusaka (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Connor Brace.
The interference was found to be accidental as Simiyann (IRE) lugged left-handed but was quickly corrected causing Brace to take a check.
The second incident involved the winner, Cock And Bull (IRE), ridden by Callum Shepherd, and Hurtle Wallop (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Catton.
The interference was found to be accidental as Cock And Bull (IRE) hung right-handed causing Catton to take a slight check.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, Hurtle Wallop (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly left-handed before being corrected taking the winner, Cock And Bull (IRE), marginally off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Cock And Bull (IRE), ridden by Callum Shepherd, Aikhal (IRE), placed second, ridden by Tom Marquand, and Whispering Royal (IRE), placed third, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Cock And Bull (IRE)’s placing as the gelding came from behind and was always holding Aikhal (IRE) with the winning distance being a head.
The interference was found to be accidental as Cock And Bull (IRE) was hanging right-handed, despite Shepherd’s best efforts, carrying Marquand off his intended line and causing Murphy to stop riding on the run to the line.
Inside the final ½ furlong, Whispering Royal (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed carrying Aikhal (IRE), placed second, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
