Leaving the stalls, Secret Strength (IRE), placed fourth, and Sir Min (IRE), placed second, were both tightened for room and lost their early positions when the winner, Kit Gabriel (IRE), jumped left- handed at the same time as Eternal Glory (IRE), placed third, shifted slightly right-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of any runner.
