Permission was given for Nineteen Fourtytwo (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start; for Sweet Fantastic (IRE) and Nardra (IRE) to both wear a red hood to the start.
Nineteen Fourtytwo (IRE) also wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Passing the 4 furlong marker the winner, Nardra (IRE), which was running freely, shifted right-handed giving a bump to and turning the quarters of Sweet Fantastic (IRE), placed second.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Nardra (IRE).
Approximately 1½ furlongs out Sweet Fantastic (IRE), placed second, hung left-handed despite the rider's best efforts to correct the colt causing Top Bins (IRE), placed third, be hampered when short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Sweet Fantastic (IRE).
Following the race, David Egan reported that NINETEEN FORTYTWO (IRE), placed fourth, raced green under pressure.
