After jumping the third last fence, the winner Royal Plaza (GB), edged quickly left-handed inconveniencing Malangen (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of the winner Royal Plaza (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching half a furlong out when the winner Royal Plaza (GB), ridden by Adam Wedge, interfered with Malangen (IRE), placed second, ridden by David Noonan.
Wedge was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift left-handed away from the whip and without correction causing Noonan to have to briefly steady and switch around the heels of Royal Plaza (GB).
The performance of Precious Bounty (IRE), which started second favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
