An enquiry was held into the circumstances surrounding part of the hoarding which blew over the course during this race.
The Clerk of the Course was interviewed.
The Stewards noted his explanation that a section of the hoarding came loose due to a strong gust and the runners were several furlongs away when the incident occurred, allowing enough time for a member of the ground staff to collect the loose part of the hoarding and remove it from the track before they reached that section.
The Clerk of the Course also added that the remainder of the advertising hoardings were taken down after Race 2 as a precaution.
Following the race, James Doyle reported that Naqaawa (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly.
Jamie Spencer reported that Blue Gardenia (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly, shortly after racing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Frankie Dettori reported that Promissory (IRE), placed third, lost its action and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly, shortly after racing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
