Permission was given for Stunning Beauty (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Pretty In Grey (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
Marco Ghiani, the rider of Pretty In Grey (GB), was unseated shortly after leaving the stalls.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Pretty In Grey (GB) fly leaping from the stalls causing Ghiani to become unbalanced and be unseated.
The performance of Lola Showgirl (IRE), which finished placed fourth, was considered.
The representative of David Loughnane could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance other than that Laura Pearson reported that the filly ran flat.
The Veterinary Office reported that a post-race examination of Lola Showgirl (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
