The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Eco Pete, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed second, and Razdan, ridden by K.E. Buckley, placed first, where it appeared S.D. Torrens may have struck Razdan on the nose with his whip. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.E. Buckley stated that his mount was full of running and got through the gap very quick but it was just as S.D. Torrens was striking his mount but said it was accidental. S.D. Torrens stated that the strike was accidental. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
