Approaching the final furlong the winner, Glittering Legend (GB), edged quickly right-handed carrying Chesneys Charm (GB), placed third, off its intended line onto Mayday Malone (GB), placed fourth, who in turn was moved off its intended line and tightened for room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Glittering Legend (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Glittering Legend (GB), ridden by Harry Davies and Chesneys Charm (GB), placed third, ridden by Shane Gray.
Davies was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear of Chesneys Charm (GB), causing Gray to take a slight check.
