The Stewards enquired into an incident in the early stages of this race involving Al Batal (GB), ridden by M.P
O'Connor, Twenty Minutes (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Iseebreeze, ridden by N.M. Crosse, and Proud And Elated (FR), ridden by A.C. Persse, where it appeared that Al Batal ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Mr. D. Byrne accompanying A.C. Persse and M.P. O'Connor
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.W
O'Connor was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his previous record in this regard cautioned D.W. O' Connor and reminded him of his responsibilities in this regard
