An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final 2 furlongs involving Dreamweaver (IRE), placed third, ridden by Luke Morris and Eagle Court (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jamie Spencer.
The interference was found to be accidental in that as Spencer was looking to make a run on the outside of the winner, Stargazer (IRE), Dreamweaver shifted left-handed momentarily, closing the gap and causing contact between itself and Eagle Court (IRE).
On the run to the line, the rider of Super Superjack (GB), placed fourth, was forced to take a check and ease his mount when caught behind a weakening Eagle Court (IRE), placed second, which was lugging left-handed towards the rail despite the best efforts of its rider, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Eagle Court (IRE).
Following the race, Jamie Spencer reported that Eagle Court (IRE), placed second, hung both ways; the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its right-hind shoe.
