The start of this race was reviewed in the presence of the Starter due to concerns over the distance between those horses at the front and the back markers, when the start was effected. The Starter explained that when asked, the riders had all been happy with their positions prior to the start being effected. Having viewed a recording of the start and taking into account that there was a 40 second gap between the Starter raising his flag and the race starting which would have afforded the riders plenty of time to alter their positions, no further action was taken.
