Permission was given for Michele Strogoff (GB) and Alnadir (USA) to go early to post.
The winner Secret Art (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 17 August where the gelding finished seventh of the nine runners, beaten by 11 lengths.
Gary Moore's explanation that Secret Art (IRE) appeared to appreciate the return to an all-weather surface on this occasion, was noted.
Secret Art (IRE) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference at the two furlong marker involving Alnadir (USA), which fell, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, Let Rip (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Jason Watson and Michele Strogoff (GB), placed second, ridden by Theodore Ladd.
De Sousa was unable to be interviewed owing to his injuries.
Ladd was suspended for 10 days for careless riding, in that he permitted his mount to shift right-handed without sufficient correction and when insufficiently clear of Alnadir (USA), causing the gelding to fall.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Let Rip (IRE), which started second favourite and finished fourth, hung badly left-handed.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Let Rip (IRE), placed fourth, sustained a wound to its left hind and Sophosc (IRE), placed third, sustained a swollen right fore fetlock joint.
