The Stewards considered a report from Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Ms. Joan Taylor, regarding the vaccinations of Mutanaqel (GB), trained by John C. McConnell. No passport was presented
Evidence was heard from Ms. Joan Taylor, Veterinary assistant Miss. Colleen Murphy and John C. McConnell
Email correspondence from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Chief Veteniary Officer, Dr. Lynn Hillyer was also considered. Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Mutanaqel (GB)
The Stewards referred the matter to the C.E.O of the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board for further investigation
M.A. Enright, rider of Maysonlight (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout
The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Sand Castle, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, placed second and Lady Of Luxury, ridden by A.C. Persse, placed first, where it appeared that Sand Castle drifted off a true line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 45-65 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won. Riders - Confined to Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 29th June, 2020 to 18th January, 2021 inclusive
