The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Mezajy, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.G. Hogan was in breach of regulations 10.3 (f) and 10.4. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended D.G. Hogan for 3 racedays.
