The Stewards received a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer, Ms. Joan Taylor, M.R.C.V.S. that Holy Hymn, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, in relation to the fact that this horse was now a gelding and not a colt as printed on the card. Having considered the report, the Stewards imposed a fine of ?130 on the trainer for a breach of Rule 148(vi)
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final 100 yards involving Alanari, ridden by R. Coakley, and Snow Hope (GB), ridden by C.P. Hoban, where it appeared Alanari checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action
B.M. Coen, rider of Dare To Flare trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slow away.
