The Starter reported that Highland Acclaim (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
David O’Meara was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Highland Acclaim (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the final bend when Zac Brown (IRE), unplaced, ridden by John Egan interfered with Highland Acclaim (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by David Probert.
Egan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Probert to take a check for several strides on the rail.
Following the race, John Egan reported that Zac Brown (IRE), unplaced, had no more to give.
