An enquiry was held after two deer ran across the track in front of the runners as they approached the 6- furlong marker.
The Clerk of the Course and rider Franny Norton were interviewed.
The Clerk of the Course explained that there are current measures in place for every meeting to try and prevent the deer from going on the track during racing.
He further added that following this incident, a second member of groundstaff would be deployed in the area down towards the mile start to try and prevent this happening again tonight.
