He is a nice horse, who had been working quite well at home, but he hadn't been working on grass. I told the owners that I hoped he would be in the first three, so it was a nice surprise that he won it. I have no plans for him now. The owners (Favourites Racing Syndicate) are big owners in the UK and this is their first horse with me.
Another upset as March On Rome scores
I needed that! He is a nice horse and he will be better on better ground. He showed a good turn of foot and he is a genuine type. He will go for a conditions race now and may drop back to six furlongs.
One Of Three wins again at Limerick
She had five pounds more than when she won a similar race here last weekend. This race was just a five pounds higher in the handicap, so we had to run her. She is entered in Tipperary on Thursday and she will probably run there. She should get further the way she has been finishing her races.
Bob takes the feature at Limerick
He did it well. The ground was a worry, but he picked up well. He idled a bit in front but it was a good performance. The further he goes the better he will be.
Double for Murphy as Gold takes gold
Samantha give her a great ride. We will see what the handicapper does now before deciding where to go next.
Kalabaya continues McCullagh's good run
I didn't have her for much of last year but she looked very well in the spring. She lost weight then and didn't thrive. Johnny (Murtagh) said that she would probably wake up for this run. She will go on any ground except heavy. She could be a good one. We have no immediate plans for her now.
O'Connor & Natural take the last
Matt gave him a great ride. That was his first run back and he won well at the line. His next run will probably be over hurdles at Galway. He has schooled over hurdles and he jumps them well.
