Going out on the final circuit, when running freely, More Joy (FR), placed fourth, had to be restrained off the heels of Kentford Swansong (GB), placed third, and Mabel Kingsmill (GB), unplaced.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Craan Run (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 29 May 2022, where the mare finished sixth of eight, beaten by 48 ¾ lengths.
Alistair Ralph explained that the mare benefitted from a first-time application of a hood and a tongue tie and from what he considered to be a less competitive race.
Craan Run (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race Adrian Heskin reported that More Joy (FR), placed fourth, was slowly away.
