It was beautiful summer ground at Leopardstown the last day but we didn't think he let himself down on the ground, behind Highbury. He is a big horse and Colin said he didn't enjoy that ground either - he wants just a nice ease. Colin has no rules and when the horse became a bit 'chewy', there was no point fighting him as he has had three runs, and he did the right thing by letting him go to the front. He is an autumn horse and is definitely a next-year horse so we'll enjoy making a plan with him.

A nice horse. He has a great mind and I was very surprised that he was keen early, but look I suppose first run. He pulled for probably a mile and a-quarter in the race or more and still finished. He did well as he probably got there plenty soon enough and then he idled. It was a good performance. I expected him to run well, but you don't know when you are coming first time and horses in there with good ratings and they have experience. He could come back to a mile and a-half. It wasn't my intention to start him off over a mile and six, but I did want to start him off on a nice track. I probably would have preferred if it was a mile and a-half today, but there's not that many maidens at those distances. I'll talk to the owners and see where we go from here.

She might just have a future. I got a good early position and she kept going nicely up the hill. She is a really nice, honest and uncomplicated filly and it was grand to have Seamie again today as nobody else has ridden her. He gave her a lovely ride. They jumped out and went hard for the first furlong but it is now an epidemic in races where they go 500 miles in the first furlong and then jack it up until the last furlong, which is a bit annoying, but Seamie was on top of it. He rode behind Joseph's (O'Brien, with No Knee Never) and she won well. She is a half-sister to group horses in Italy, she isn't the biggest but is plenty big for the flat and is very honest and easy to train.
