FormscanBy Michael Graham - LINDEN ARDEN relished a staying trip when easily winning a beginners' chase here just under three weeks ago. He reverts back to flights and takes a drop in class, so appeals with his confidence boosted. Littlefoot won his maiden hurdle at this track last month. He won by the minimum margin of a nose when upped in trip with cheekpieces fitted. He races off a mark of 104 with Liam McKenna's claim factored in and is a contender. Tell Me This took the honours by five lengths when last seen over a shorter trip at this venue and is respected. Tullyveery Lad, Coastal World and Kilkee Bay are more than capable of landing a blow.

This means a lot. Brian actually spotted this race about two months ago and it seemed ideal for him. He said one of the biggest factors was that the ground wasn't too soft on the chase track and he had come on a lot, fitness-wise, for his run at Sligo. He only had one schooling session last weekend at the Curragh and seems to have taken well to fences. Brian did well to keep him away from the loose horse, and another horse running keen, and it all worked out. . There are chase winners in the family and he has that physique, so we thought he would, maybe, be better over fences. Solerina is gone two years now, but we have two half-brothers and a half-sister coming along, so we're looking forward to them. On a lot of his hurdles runs, he was entitled to go very close here. He's a really, really impossible horse to predict and train because you have to train him 70 per cent of what I train the other horses. He is kept fresh all the time so you are never sure you have him fit. What a horse, I think he has won nine or 10 in total. I think he has won four or five for me and you see the size of him. He carried top weight in Tramore the last day. He seems to be better over hurdles. He'll mix it and end up in Galway I'd say either on the Flat or over hurdles. I'd say he will go to the UK as he is a novice so I might pick up a novice over there at some point. He'll probably end up at Cheltenham in October. He was there last year and actually ran a really good race. We thought we only had to turn up in Dundalk a couple of times and he didn't fire and I don't know if he is still in love with it as he was. He is around forever and that's his third win. He got an injury running around here and when he came back he wasn't right for a long time, but he is in a right vein of form now. He isn't winning big races but it's great for his owners. . If he comes back and eats up, he'll probably run again on Sunday (over fences). It was a finish of bobbing heads. Usually I’d have a fair idea what way the result has gone but this time I really didn’t know. It’s great that we were called as the winner because we’ve been hitting the crossbar up to this point over Christmas. It’s lovely to get one here at Limerick in particular. There was nothing between the front two. We got a real good jump at the last, and that was probably the winning of the race. The ground was really bad at Clonmel one day and we kind of had our minds made up that we wouldn’t run him in that ground again. With the ground so testing here, we had a chat about that again this morning, but because he was absolutely working particularly well and that he was in superb form, we said we’d take our chance. Things weren't working out for him early in the summer when he wasn't getting the rub of the green. We went chasing with him, that didn't work out and for a horse who jumps so well, you'd swear he never saw a fence in his life at Tramore one day. We decided to give him a little break to freshen him up and it worked. The ground is lovely, but is as quick as he wants it. Hopefully there will be another one in him before he gets a break for the winter. I thought we ran him a bit too early here last time after he had won in Limerick so we gave him a month off this time. We're doing a lot of flat work with him as he has an issue with his back.
