The Starter reported that Arcadian Nights (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.

Mark Loughnane was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

Shortly after leaving the stalls, Hooflepuff, unplaced, edged slightly left-handed moving Carey Street (IRE), placed sixth, onto Midgetonamission (IRE), unplaced, which was inconvenienced but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Approaching 3 furlongs out, Arcadian Nights (GB), placed fourth, had to be switched right-handed to avoid the heels of a rapidly weakening Kingson (IRE), unplaced, and in doing so bumped Kentucky Kingdom (IRE), placed fifth, which in turn made contact with Hooflepuff (IRE), unplaced, unbalancing both of those runners but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference turning into the home straight when Arcadian Nights (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Daniel Muscutt interfered with the winner, Dream Harder (IRE), ridden by Cieren Fallon.

Muscutt was cautioned for careless riding as he switched left-handed for a run causing his mount to make light contact with the winner, Dream Harder (IRE) which briefly became unbalanced as a result.

Passing the 1-furlong marker, Let Her Loose (IRE), unplaced, had to be steadied and switched right- handed after running onto the heels of Rock Chant (USA), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Busby (IRE), placed second, ridden by Madi Patzelt interfered with Arcadian Nights (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Daniel Muscutt.

Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Patzelt was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.

Patzelt was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to drift left-handed without correction, when insufficiently clear of Arcadian Nights (GB), causing Muscutt to be tightened up for racing room and lose his pitch to her inside.

Following the race, Frederick Larson reported that Kingson (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly.
