B. Hayes, rider of Baltic Black trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up. A.E. Lynch, rider of D'Pinesflyer trained by Patrick Neville, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get the trip (2m 5f). The Stewards interviewed D.N. Russell, rider of Kings Dolly, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.N. Russell was in breach of R(10)(3)(e) and R10(4). Having taken his previous record into consideration the Stewards suspended D.N. Russell for 1 raceday.
