King Kali had Kool Kal well behind in fourth when runner-up to Agritime at Limerick. The winner readily followed up next time and Sean Byrne’s charge looks next best of those with previous form. L’yser, who is from a useful French family and is a full-brother to decent hurdler Morosini, is tongue-tied for his debut while fellow newcomer Mount Brown is a half-brother to four winners on the Flat. The Flat-bred Colonel Bellew, a half-brother to a 6f winner, is another first-timer to note.
