Denis Hogan's Silent Performance got to grips with Dammit in the closing stages to land Down Royal's 10 furlong handicap by half a length.
The 3/1 favourite was driven home by Joe Doyle as the pair wore down Dammit and Chris Hayes who gave it a solid go from the front. Spruce Meadows 5/1 from 13/2, was a length and three parts further back in third.
Doyle said: "We really like this filly since we got her, we knew she had ability. Just that extra furlong really helped her today.
"We got into a bit of a battle and she was in front where it mattered, that was the most important thing.
"I think she is progressive and there is a bit more in her. We are very hopeful with her for the future.
"She travels very well and sees it (1m 2f) out, if you dropped her back she could be keen so I'd say we will stick where we are for the minute.
"She's a nice filly and delighted to have that first winner for the owner as well."
