Young apprentice Rory Mulligan rode his fourth career winner when making most on the Johnny Murtagh trained Sevensees to easily land the TipperaryRacecourse.ie Handicap.
Third over the minimum trip, also under Mulligan, at Navan last month, the four-year-old failed to build on that run when stepped back up in distance last time.
Having just his second attempt at 5f this evening, the Sea The Moon gelding was always to the fore, travelling powerfully throughout, before quickening clear inside the final furlong. Sporting Hero stayed on late from out of the chasing pack to take second but the winner had three-and-three-quarter lengths to spare.
Denis Linehan said: "He is an improving horse and I think sprinting could just be the key to him - the more racing he did the faster he has become, as he got the hang of it. He won well and hopefully he can keep going.
"Rory is a good young lad, is improving quickly and hopefully he will go places."
