Top-weight Schoolboy Error provided the answer to division one, and again there was no need to go beyond the number one horse for split two of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship 2018 Handicap at Dundalk as Park Row did the needful under a hefty ten stone two impost.
For the father and son team of Denis and Ross Coakley, Park Row was prominent, and he soon chased the leader, improving to lead after five furlongs.
Ridden to assert a furlong and a half out, Park Row kept on well in the final furlong to see off dead-heaters Los Alamos and Rips Dream by a length and a half.
"It's our 29th wedding anniversary today so my wife Maria will be happy she let me off!" said Coakley senior.
"Ross said they slowed up down the back and he didn't want to be caught behind horses. He's a strong traveler and he did the right thing letting him stride on.
"He's won three for us and I hope he keeps improving. Even though he's an eight-year-old, mentally he's probably only maturing now.
"In our set-up there is only two other horses around the place and he's out in the field all day after being ridden out in the morning. It seems to suit him, and long may it last."
A.J. Slattery, rider of Spinning Pearl trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
