It's Kenya in the Killavullan For the second race in succession Donnacha O'Brien came home in front in the navy Magnier silks, as favourite Kenya took Group 3 spoils in the Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown. Thirty five minutes before O'Brien won on Baroness for his brother Joseph in the nursery. A second winner on the card for their father Aidan, Kenya bossed things from the front in the seven furlong heat. Like the previous Ballydoyle scorer, James Cook in the 2.20, Kenya was wanting the line a bit near the finish, but he hung on well by a length from McMunigal. "Donnacha said he was very happy with him, and that he's a grand big genuine horse. He gallops and handles an ease in the ground," said the winning trainer. "I'd imagine that will be it for this year. Obviously things can change but more than likely that will be it." (AM & EM)
