Daniel Hyde rode his first winner when his grand-father Timmy's newcomer Keskonrisk impressed in the Jump Into January @fairyhouse (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.
Backed into 6/1 from 7/1 on track, and from bigger earlier, the No Risk At All gelding tracked the leaders on the outer in third and he made headway to lead at halfway and was soon clear.
Travelling well with a reduced advantage entering the straight, the half-brother to Paul Nicholls’ Grand Sancy, was ridden and went clear again a furlong and a half out.
Keskonrisk eventually came home with four and a half lengths to spare over Favori De Champdou with gambled-on favourite Gabynako (7/2 into 7/4) a length and three parts back in third.
“I think he's a good horse this fella, he has a lot of speed and he's very well bred too,” said Hyde senior.
“That's Daniel's first winner and he's in fifth year at school.
“Most of my horses I sell them, so we'll see now. I think he's pretty good.
“He's well schooled and jumped like a buck around here one day over hurdles.
“He's a good looking individual and a grand easy mover.”
