Sharlanda leads over the last in Downpatrick© Photo Healy Racing
The market didn't want to know about Sharlanda for the mares' handicap hurdle in Downpatrick but she secured a snug victory for Colin Bowe.
The in-foal mare was winning for the third time in four starts.
She was steered to the front, at the penultimate flight, by Sean Flanagan and asserted after the last to come in by two and three quarter lengths.
From 13/8 this morning, she drifted right out to 100/30 joint favourite on the off. Thanks For Tea (4/1) chased her home, half a length in front of Lilywhite Gesture (9/2).
Colin Bowe said: "The clock is against her, I think she has until September as she is in foal to Ol' Man River. We'll look at the programme - if we could get a little Listed race over fences to get her black type over fences is probably how we will do it.
"She's in great form. Sean (Flanagan) said she didn't enjoy the track, she didn't come down the hill the first time but he said he held a bit up his sleeve.
"This race was here and she was in great form. We'll definitely fit one more in."
