that was a great thrill and myself and my father always thought this lad had a big race in him. He was the last winner my father had in Gowran so it is extra special to win a big one. We were so unlucky that he hadn't won a big one by now, he'd been placed so many times. He's so consistent and the handicapper hasn't always been easy on him. Whatever happens after today, it doesn't matter, it's a bonus. he jumps and travels and any jockey that rides him comes back with a smile on their face - they get such a thrill from him. He's a pleasure to train because he's the most straightforward horse you'll come across. We went for the Leopardstown Chase last year and really thought he'd get the trip, as it turned out he didn't really. We might go back for it though, ride him differently and try to creep into it. Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for this race to be delayed by one minute The Raceday Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that J.J. Slevin, rider of Dancing On My Own had failed to obey his instructions and caused the false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr J.R. Banahan stated that the runners were walking in when J.J

Slevin anticipated the start thereby causing a false start. J.J. Slevin stated that his mount was walking in in a controlled manner when he took into a canter despite he making every effort to restrain him. He apologised for his actions. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that J.J. Slevin was in breach of Rule 208 (v) by failing to obey the instructions of the starter. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended J.J. Slevin for two racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Fan De Blues (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins was noted to have struck into the inside of his right fore pastern

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mt Leinster, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
