He knew he had a race from the last home and I’d say he wants two and a half miles. Christmas may come a bit soon for him and he could be one for something like (the Grade One at) Fairyhouse over two and a half miles.

It was a good performance and very straightforward. He got close to the fourth last both times but apart from that he was very good. Speaking to Mark (Walsh) he said we could step him up in trip so I'd imagine he'll step up to two and a half miles the next day. I'll talk to his owners now but I'd imagine he'll go for something like the Drinmore. It looked like he was going better at the line than he was two out so I'd say a step-up in trip will suit him.

he got beat by a good horse of Paul Nolan’s (Latest Exhibition) the last day in Navan where he probably outstayed us but that was more like it today. Mark (Walsh) said the inside track was tight enough for him here over two miles. He took a bit of organising around the last bend but when he straightened up he jumped the last well. He galloped to the line and has won over two and a half.

He's a nice horse. He did everything right and Mark said he showed loads of pace. He said you could even bring him back to two miles,. He's in the Royal Bond, obviously I have to talk to Frank (Berry) and all the lads. We thought a lot of him last year, we minded him. He's still not the finished article, he's still a big weak horse. Mark said he showed an awful lot of pace and thought he was actually going too slow the whole way, thought he was hacking. I stepped him out to two-and-a-half because I thought at home he was just a bit lackadaisical, a bit sleepy. That was good and we're very happy.

We think he's a nice horse, we always thought a lot of him,. We were waiting on a bit of rain for him. We think he's as nice as any bumper horse we've run all year. I'll have to speak to the owners to see about whether he goes to Cheltenham or where he goes.
