The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of Final Fantasy (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Cleary stated he felt in riding that he had used his whip within the guidelines but had mistakenly misjudged the count. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended R.P. Cleary for one raceday

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Nigel Thomas Slevin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Miss Vizeun, placed first, as compared with her previous run at Killarney on the 18th August 2022 when finishing last of fifteen runners beaten seventeen lengths by the winner Eloquent Arthur (GB). The trainer reported that his charge had run respectable races at both Leopardstown and Ballinrobe on good ground before running at Cork on the 22nd July on good ground when finishing seventh. He added that she showed little form on her run at Killarney four weeks later on yielding ground. As a consequence he gave her a break after Killarney to freshen her up before reappearing today with a visor applied. In his opinion this brought about the improved performance
