Quotes on Where's My Jet (IRE)

He didn't get home in Galway but went to the start very fresh and we thought he was a much better horse than that. He won nicely in Killarney though and today beat Willie's other horse who is no slouch. I was happy that I was able to get a few lengths away from the others and his jumping was making ground, rather than me using petrol to do it. That is always a help when it comes to the business end and it was a good performance.

Quotes on All For Rachel (IRE)

He's a long time around the house and the penny never dropped. I can't believe how well he travelled today,. He looked like a horse that was going to win races several times before but it never materialised. One of the key things to him is the ground but he has strengthened up as well. He's a big horse that's been growing and developing for a number of years and every year I say 'I hope I'm not saying the same thing next year!'. He's seven now and I bought him as a three-year-old. He's called after a grandchild of ours, a daughter of Rory and Theresa. They were to be here, I told them to come today. He's a manager on one of the sites and told him to finish at one and pick up Theresa and Rachel and come out here. I had some inclination today with the way he was working at home and the way he had strengthened up. He was always weak behind. You could have lost faith with him but today makes up for it. Phillip gave him a grand ride and came with a lovely timed run.

Quotes on Blaze The Way (IRE)

I like him, he had a lovely run the first day and is a half-brother to a good horse (Grade 2 winner Enniscoffey Oscar),. I'm delighted with him and for the lads (Brian and Tom Groarke, part owners) who are from Meath. I'd say we'll wait to go hurdling until next season and might go for a winners' bumper. We'll talk to the boys and see what they want to do but he'll be a grand horse over a hurdle and has plenty size to jump a fence. He battled well and is a saleable horse.

Quotes on Fleur In The Park (IRE)

He wants two and a half to three miles and I thought he’d win over two if he is as good as I think he is. He is going for the Monksfield at Navan in three weeks’ time, so we had to get a run into him and that will bring out loads of improvement. Cian (Quirke, jockey) said he had a blow, that he won very easy and he had loads of horse left. He had good runs in bumpers last year but was never really trained for bumpers, as I wanted to give him a chance to be a good horse and I didn’t want to drill him to win bumpers, he still ran very well in them. I think there will be improvement over hurdles and over fences next year, that’s the plan.

Quotes on Patter Merchant (IRE)

He's a nice horse, he's a horse to go jumping and you probably won't see much more of him this year. He's a horse for next year. Harry said he should have let him slide on, as he's just a galloper but we like him.

Quotes on The Yellow Clay (IRE)

The Yellow Clay is a nice horse and we think a good bit of him. I loved the way he hit the line. He'll probably go for the listed bumper in Limerick next but is a horse for next year and is one to look forward to. he is only the second homebred runner that the Morans (Bective Stud owners) have had and he is the first winner. They had three homebred horses this year - one was no good, one okay and one nice.

Quotes on Wrecking Ballbilly (IRE)

He was just minding him today on the soft ground. He's loads better on better ground, he said he hated the ground. We came here for our local track and always like to get a winner here. He's as green as leaves this horse. We were minding him at home and he is probably the nicest horse we have had in the yard this long time. He's a very classy horse and a big baby. He probably needs a break to be honest, he's had three runs this year - second, second and first. He'll be a lovely horse next year. He needs to learn to grow up a wee bit, he needs a winter on the grass and to settle down. I don't think I will run him again (this year), we could sell him and keep him in the yard or sell him on. We are selling everything now, it used to be I kept everything. I would probably give him another bumper (next year) if he wises up a wee bit. He has a fair engine. I saw him gallop on the beach with good horses one day and inside half a furlong there was 30 lengths of difference - I never saw anything like it in my life. It nearly brought a tear to my eyes!
