Ruby really enjoys riding him and was seeing strides six or seven strides from fences. He rode both the chase winners today with such confidence, and is riding as good as ever if not better. Age is certainly not affecting him. We will look for something over two and a half miles, and he likes good ground. Maybe if the ground is suitable he could go for the Grade 2 at Gowran Park (October 1).

He won at JT's meeting here last October and Richard Johnson won on him. He was a little bit clumsy over hurdles but he is different over fences. He needs good ground and thankfully the rain didn't come earlier.

He [Willie Mullins] said to let him warm up a bit as he hadn't schooled him over Easyfix hurdles. I'm sure he's going to make a chaser in time. It's an honour to ride for Willie. I came here once when it first opened many years ago. It's in great condition and it's beautiful good ground. Dad is only after arriving in at the airport 10 minutes ago. He was in Australia watching Simenon finish third. This was the only horse he had that was suited to run today. It's great to get a winner on this day. He's a good horse, but he needs good ground and where he goes next is dictated by the ground. He might be let off and come back in the Spring. His jumping got better as the race went on.

He's a different horse on the track than at home. He wouldn't light any fires at home. I love horses like that, they keep it for where it counts. In fairness he probably needs good ground. We'll have to have a think about Galway now.
