< Fact Or Folklore came with a devastating late run to claim first prize in the Guiness Handicap, the feature race at Listowel.
The recent Roscommon winner had to watch on for much of the 1m4f contest as the strong-travelling Shamar looked to have put the race to bed when hitting the front entering the home straight but he was unable to resist the late charge of the 7-2 favourite.
Willie McCreery's filly was adding to her recent Roscommon success and looks a horse firmly on the upgrade judging by the manner of this two and a half length victory.< Third Dimension (9-1) landed the decent prize on offer in the Bank Of Ireland Handicap when running out a comfortable scorer.< Hurricane Twister laid down a bold bid from the front and appeared to have a few of his rivals in trouble as they entered the straight.
However, his early exertions eventually began to tell and Third Dimension came through with a well-timed challenge, taking over inside the final furlong before drawing two and a half lengths clear.
Over the jumps, Devils Bride (2-1 fav) maintained his upward curve when producing a polished round of jumping to see off Texas Jack by a length in the Southampton Goodwill Chase.
Back on the level, Sr Cartage chalked up her second success of the Festival when beating Cocoon by four and a half lengths in the L.M. Carey & Company Handicap.
Jim Bolger's 6-4 market leader was once again in the van early and never looked in much danger thereafter, galloping all the way to the line.< Time For Art (13-2) got off the mark at the fourth time of asking when producing a brave performance to get the better of her male counterparts in the opening Listowel Printing Works Maiden while Jealika (8-1) was a two length winner of the John & Terry Moriarty Memorial Handicap.
