The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Comanche Moon, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis

C.M. Quirke, rider of A Family Affair, trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly after jumping the third last hurdle
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the first, involving Smallcraftwarning, ridden by Miss T. Quail, Tremaine (GB), ridden by D. King and Roxboro River, ridden by D.E. Mullins, where Miss T
Quail was unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Miss T. Quail stated that she received slight pressure from her inside, clipped a heel of the horse in front of her and was unseated. D. King stated that he maintained a straight racing line. D.E. Mullins stated that he maintained his racing line and felt that the incident was unfortunate. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by tight riding on the approach to the first, that no riding offence had occurred, and they therefore took no further action.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
