Nathan Moscrop, the rider of Alph (IRE), was unseated rounding the bend into the home straight.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and that the incident was accidental and caused by the gelding slipping on the bend.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Word Has It (IRE), placed third, lost its right-fore shoe.
