Permission was given for Gatecrasher Girl (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
At the end of the back straight, a very free running Piastrella (IRE), placed fifth, shifted right-handed when being restrained off heels giving a significant bump to Reel Rosie (IRE), placed second, before becoming unbalanced itself and shifting left-handed inconveniencing Brush Creek (GB), placed sixth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Piastrella (IRE).
Inside the 3 furlong marker, Reel Rosie (IRE), placed second, drifted slightly left-handed away from the whip at the same time that Piastrella (IRE), placed fifth, lugged quickly right-handed resulting in the winner, Gatecrasher Girl (GB) being checked in its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching 2 furlongs out, Convection (GB), placed third, edged slightly left-handed bumping Brush Creek (GB), placed sixth, causing that filly to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Convection (GB).
Following the race, Faye McManoman reported that Piastrella (IRE), placed fifth, ran too freely and slipped approaching the home bend and Silvestre De Sousa reported that My Silent Song (GB), placed fourth, hung right-handed throughout.
