Permission was given for Typhoon Ten (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Typhoon Ten (IRE), trained by Richard Hannon, ran without its right-fore shoe as the trainer had not indicated at declaration stage that the gelding should be withdrawn in the event of losing a shoe on the way to post.
Approaching the final furlong, Natural Path (IRE), placed fifth, drifted slightly right as Royal Advice, unplaced, edged left, causing Rovaniemi (IRE), unplaced, to be checked in its run, but it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Natural Path (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Blackheath (GB), unplaced, had lost its right-fore shoe.
