The Stewards interviewed S.A. Shortall, rider of Uhtred, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S. A. Shortall in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion

The Stewards received a report from Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.A. Jacob, rider of Texard (FR), weighed in at 1.9 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D. A. Jacob was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, they suspended him for two racedays

At the request of the Stewards, I.J. McCarthy, rider of Dreamy Leamy, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very keen during the early stages of this race and he was very anxious to get it to settle and jump well as it had jumped the new type of hurdle very poorly on its previous run.
