That was a nice performance and she was entitled to do it on her form. We've been waiting for a little cut in the ground but didn't get any summer soft and the owners were good and patient. I have her since February, she should improve for a trip and going over hurdles. She'll be a nice winter mare. We decided to claim from her, it was Michael's first ride for me and he kept it simple and was very good on her.

The Stewards interviewed Mr M. McGuane, rider of King Kali, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. M. McGuane was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. M. McGuane's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. M. McGuane for one raceday
