The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms. Stephanie Searle, Authorised Representative for Thomas Mullins, trainer, in relation to Coral River being presented without hind shoes as required under the provisions of R.16. Ms Searle stated that her charge was having his first run on the racecourse and was never shod behind prior to this. She further added that when trying to fit hind shoes to the animal before raceday he became increasingly difficult

Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for Coral River to run without hind shoes on this occasion

Mr P. Hanlon, rider of D Journey Man, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout
