His dam is a full-sister to Hors La Loi III and Cyborgo. He is going the right way and the extra few furlongs were obviously a help. He will probably only get four or five pounds so it doesn't make any difference but I might run him tomorrow or Wednesday. We will see how he is in the morning but I'm not ruling it out. It is nice to get that pot. After he won at Clonmel I thought he would go on. He ran a blinder at Christmas in a good race and the ground went for him. He is very ground dependant and he is such a big horse you wouldn't want it too fast. At Sligo we probably rode him wrong and the track probably didn't suit. David gave him a great ride. An extended handicap steeplechase for four yrs old and upwards (135 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each steeplechase won Any horse rated above 135 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 135 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four or five year old rated above 135 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
