Permission was given for FAITQUE DE L’ISLE (FR) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
The winner, Billingsley (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on the 18 March 2023, where the gelding was pulled up.
The Stewards noted the explanation given by Alastair Ralph that Billingsley (IRE) may have appreciated the better ground on this occasion, which had been changed to Good to Soft following the previous race.
Following the race, the representative of Gary Moore reported that WALK IN THE PARK (FR), placed fourth, was unsuited by the Good to Soft going on this occasion and would prefer a slower surface.
